Mark Chien

Mark is a commercial photographer base around Shanghai, Taipei and San Francisco. He was born in Taiwan in 1978 and he started his photography life when he was 19. He spent 8 years to be a photojournalist worked for China post, People daily, next media magazine and Apple Daily in Taiwan. In 2005, he went to San Francisco to get his MFA degree of Photography in Academy of art University and he got an important piece of the puzzle of his photography style during studying in USA. He blended his photojournalist’s personality to be a commercial photographer since he came to USA and he successfully blended the subtle complexities of both camera and computer to produce photorealistic digital art. Mark defined his self as surreal and conceptual photographer who can deliver the messages by the visual photo with the most interesting way to the viewers. His work got into 2007 USA Epson Photo contest finalist and win the Ｍyshot08 Honorable Mention in Miami USA,2008. Now Mark move to Shanghai and started his new photography journey.

2009年一月返台擔任台北海洋技術學院多媒體與遊戲發展科學系攝影講師

2009年九月赴上海發展

Mark是少數從新聞攝影領域跨足商業攝影的攝影師.他的攝影生涯?蒙於報導攝影,在他就讀大學新聞系的時期,他的剝皮?老街專題刊登於新加坡的攝影人雜誌以及接受台灣真相電視台的攝影檔案節目第二集專訪,他擅長於在他的照片中敘述故事.在他的攝影記者生涯中他經歷過各種不同路線的新聞題材,從災難新聞到娛樂時尚新聞都是他在不同的媒體所專注的領域. 在2005年Ｍark赴美攻讀攝影碩士學位,在舊金山藝術大學Mark開拓了新的視野,鍛鍊自己從企劃題目到攝影執行還有電腦後期修片的能力,成為能夠同時掌握燈光以及電腦後製修片的商業攝影師.在美國期間,Ｍark以超現實主義的攝影風格分別在2007年入選Epson全美專業攝影比賽的決賽,2008年得到在美國邁阿密主辦的Myshot全美攝影比賽的人物類佳作.他也為美國的公關公司SF Classic拍攝DJ宣傳海報,以及Stephanie高跟鞋拍攝年度廣告.2009年一月他決定返回亞洲發展,先是在台北海洋技術學院從事攝影教學的工作以及撰寫第二本關於攝影的著作,也為飛利浦刮鬍刀以及愛之味茶品飲料拍攝2009年代言人廣告海報. 2009九月赴上海發展從事商業攝影工作。
